Dear Family,
The purpose of the family reunion is to gather the Arellano-Sandino family and all 1st degree relatives: brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews, nieces, their spouses, children, and grandchildren to meet each other, mingle together, have fun remembering old times and enjoy discovering news about everyone.
The Family Tree shows 400 descendants of our Nicaraguan Grandparents Felipe Arellano & Helena Cuadra and Leopoldo Sandino & Leonor Vargas. 355 of those, alive and well; 235 living in the US; 85 residing in Nicaragua; and 35 in either Canada, Costa Rica or Mexico. Every member in the Tree is invited to attend this memorable event.
Closer relationships can be made at the reunion; and its main objective is to establish a legacy to be continued in the future by younger generations.
Next year’s event will be a mix of social get-to-know gatherings and real-life experiences-sharing panels, where volunteer family members of third, fourth and fifth generation will describe their success stories and how they overcame obstacles encountered.
We will all have the opportunity to meet the children and grandchildren of the Arellano-Sandino Clan and hear from them about their families and endeavors.
The occasion coincides with Father's Day.
